Questo progetto è nato durante il 2° lockdown quando ho sentito l’esigenza di reinventarmi e ho voluto farlo cercando negli album di famiglia foto con scene di vita quotidiana e mescolandole ad altri elementi che le rendessero attuali, moderne e che non gli facessero perdere la caratteristica della “memoria” e del “ricordo”. Dato che la terra è sempre stata un fattore molto presente nella mia famiglia, le cui origini sono contadine per entrambi i genitori, ho deciso di fonderle con foto di frutta e ortaggi, trasformate in versione pop, con cui è iniziato il mio viaggio nel tempo e nello spazio. In un secondo momento anche vari amici hanno voluto che lavorassi sulle loro vecchie fotografie ed ho così intrecciato storie di persone sconosciute tra loro e vissute in diversi paesi che però a quel punto erano diventate la mia storia personale: avevo riscritto la storia della mia famiglia!
Oggi dall’orto di mia madre nascono storie che mi racconta sempre con l’entusiasmo di chi ha incontrato vecchie amicizie e non semplicemente coltivato le proprie piante: ogni giorno aneddoti che possono riguardare i pomodori piuttosto che le zucchine o le cipolle… L’orto di mamma è una sorta di crocevia di persone che portano nel loro bagaglio colori, profumi e sapori e a loro volta ricordi e racconti…

This project was born during the 2nd lockdown when I felt the need to reinvent myself and I wanted to do it by looking in family albums for photos with scenes of everyday life and mixing them with other elements that made them current, modern and that did not make them lose the characteristic of "memory" . Since the land has always been a very present factor in my family, whose origins are peasant for both parents, I decided to merge them with photos of fruit and vegetables, transformed into a pop version, with which my journey through time and space began. Later, various friends also asked me to work on their old photographs and so I intertwined stories of people unknown to each other and lived in different countries but at that they had become my personal story: I had rewritten the history of my family!
Today from my mother's vegetables garden born stories that she always tells me with the enthusiasm of those who have met old friendships and not simply grown their own plants: every day anecdotes that can concern tomatoes rather than other vegetables ... Mom's vegetables garden is a sort of crossroads of people who bring in their luggage colors, scents and flavors and in turn memories and stories...
