L’Italia è in lockdown dal 9 Marzo e a Milano non è possibile uscire di casa, la nostra quotidianità è confinata tra quattro mura. 
Cerco una via d’uscita e mi soffermo sugli altri. Mi affaccio al balcone e osservo il palazzo difronte a casa mia, un edificio del ventennio, apro la porta del mio appartamento e guardo le scale, il mio primo fuori di ogni giorno che oggi è straordinario.
Incappo così nei miei vicini di casa, i protagonisti della mia storia. 
Osservo le persone, volti sconosciuti in passato, e ora fonte di scambio e vivace compagnia nelle mie lunghe giornate di isolamento. 
Con il trascorrere del tempo compongo il mio diario di immagini in bianco e nero dove la privazione del colore è il mio legame immediato con la memoria. 

Italy is in lockdown since the 9thof March going outside is forbidden if not for groceries or urgnet needs and our daily routines are confined indoors.
Striving for some diversion, I’ve started observing my neighbours. We have crossed paths almost daily in the past but hardly ever looked at each other if not spoken. I look out of my balcony and watch the 20th century’s building in front of me, I open the door of my apartment and look down the stairs, the first piece of the limited world I now navigate.
This is where I start meeting my neighbors: the characters of my story.
I watch these people, unknown to me in the past and now, suddenly, a precious company in my long isolations days. It’s in the common spaces where we meet, staircases and balconies, that I compose my picture’s diary. I shoot in black and white as the lack of colors enhances the memory of this unique “collective isolation” experience.
